Trivia Night

Calling all Trivia Buffs!

Cossitt Trivia Night will be held on Friday, October 18th from 6:00-11:00 PM at the American Legion Post 1941 at 900 S. La Grange Road. Doors open at 6pm and Trivia begins at 7:30pm. This is an adults-only event, complete with themed outfits, games and prizes!

Here’s how it works: First, assemble a team of 8 players or sign up as individuals and be placed on a team. The cost is $40 per person, which includes 2 drink tickets. Next, be creative! Our theme is Hollywood! Choose anything from old Hollywood glam to your favorite TV show or movie, complete with costumes and/or table decorations. Prizes will be given for the best theme! Finally, prepare to play some trivia and win!

This is a Bring Your Own event—everything but the alcohol, that is. Come prepared with your own food and tableware, as well as any decorations you’d like for your table. (Vinyl tablecloths will be provided.) This is not a BYOB event—please do not bring any alcohol into the event. The American Legion has a fully stocked bar with eager bartenders to serve our thirsty trivia players. Admission includes 2 drink tickets- additional drinks will be available for purchase.

Two sign-up options:

1.) Want to play but don’t have a full team of 8? Sign up and pay for an individual spot. It’s a great way to get to know other Cossitt parents!

2.) Already have a full team? The first person to sign up and pay informs other team members which table number you signed up for. Everyone else then signs up and pays under that table number, e.g. “Table 1” slot.

Don’t delay! Reservations for this event will be on a first come-first serve basis and registration closes October 11th.

  • Coordinating this late winter/ spring social event, which will include a small committee (approx. 3) of volunteers so work can be delegated. Includes securing a venue, developing a theme, hiring a trivia company to provide questions and emcee the event, coordinating registration via Sign up Genius, acting as event coordinator, and overseeing volunteers. Chairs don’t need to “reinvent the wheel” for this parent social as the annual Trivia night has been running smoothly for a few years now. Notes will be given on venue and trivia companies. Just pick a theme, and get ready for a fun chairing opportunity! Time commitment: MODERATE. 25 hours, 5-10 hrs. in Fall to secure venue and Trivia company; then another 10-15 hours in month prior and night of event. Co-Chair: 5-10 hrs.
