March Madness Reading Tournament
The March Madness Reading Tournament is open to all Cossitt fifth grade students.
Practices are held weekly in the winter during lunch recess with a final tournament held in March.
The 2023 March Madness Tournament will be held on on Monday, March 20th. Practices begin 2/27 and will meet each Monday leading up to the tournament.
Students will need to read the following books:

March Madness 5th Grade Book Tournament: Organizes the 5th grade reading competition, including selection of books, reading the books and writing questions for books (along with assistance from volunteers), placing participating students into teams, coordinating parent volunteers, helping run weekly lunchtime meetings for the teams from January-April and assisting in final championship competition in April. Commitment requires some initial meeting/organizing in May/June of preceding year to select books and coordinate with public library and Cossitt library to ensure enough books are available for the next school year. Time Commitment- Chair: LOW-MODERATE. 40 hours total. Co-Chair/s: 40 hours total (each). (Chair/Co-Chair)
