Spring Art Show

Held every other year, Cossitt’s school-wide Student Art Show is our time to showcase and celebrate the creative talents our students are developing. Each student will show work created while in art class. Additionally, students may also show projects they have made independently at home.

Our 5th & 6th graders are invited to take part in the performing art component by enacting a famous piece of artwork as "living art".

  • Organize the much-loved biennial student art show, to be held in late winter/early spring. This is a large event to coordinate and additional volunteers will be recruited and work can be delegated. All in collaboration with the art teacher, includes soliciting student artwork, conceptualizing and managing grade level projects, promoting the event, organizing the show, and overseeing committees and volunteers to assist. The Co-Chair should have a 4th grader or younger year of art show because the Co-Chair for the show becomes Chair in two years. Time Commitment: Chair & Co-Chair- HIGH. Two months leading up to the show, 10 hours per week total between Chair & Co-Chair, 40 hours each (less time the more art teacher is involved.) (Chair/Co-Chair)
